Seba Fernández: “We’re going to focus on making winning the norm”
The Uruguay forward, Sebastián Fernández, was the Malaguista player who spoke to the media today, Wednesday, in the daily press conference.
Seba’s statements:
(A win with a dedication). “We’re a lot more at ease, happier having won. Now we’re going to enjoy it and focus on making this the norm. On a personal level, I’m happy but the important thing is that we won, if the goal wasn’t done well it wouldn’t mean that much. My goals are always for the family, but this time it was dedicated to the guys in the prison. They’re part of Antonio’s (Fernández) group and we agreed we would do it for them, and we hope that it would’ve brought them a little joy.”
(The keys against Sevilla). “When you lose it’s not a problem unless various things happen at the same time, but we won and everything’s back on track. Football’s so difficult in this regard; we did many things well, we went in full of intensity, we were compact and united, and we had a bit of luck.”
(In the line-up). “There are some great players and we’ll all get our chance to play, luckily though this time it was my turn, and I hope to keep getting minutes. Rondón and me? We hope to do things properly, we’re the same ones as last year upfront and this year we have to be at a high level to keep on playing. Winning against a direct rival was very important, if we hadn’t we would have been very ‘up in the air’.”
(J. C. Pérez). “We’re concerned about him and his health, he’s a real gentleman who’s very close to us and we have a great deal of respect for him. We wish a speedy recovery for both him and his family and everything else is secondary.”
(Granada-MCF). “It’s another important match for us in order to confirm that we’ve got better; if we want to be in European positions we can’t stop getting those points. The League is very even, we’ve got to keep on adding up because if not we fall behind on the table. We hope to get points to try and take off.”
