Málaga CF faced Real Balompédica Linenese this Saturday morning for a training match behind closed doors at the Atalaya Estepona facilities.
This morning’s duel is the second pre-season friendly for the Blue and Whites, having played Vélez CF last Tuesday at the Federación Malagueña de Fútbol ground.
Málaga CF started out with Manolo Reina, Juanfran, Esteban Burgos, Ramalho, Víctor Olmo, Ramón, Jozabed, Dani Lorenzo, Álex Gallar, Fran Sol and Rubén Castro.
Meanwhile, Real Balompédica Linense’s starting line-up consisted of Álvaro Varo, Connor, Nico Delmonte, Borja López, Loren, Masllorens, Antonio Romero, Omar, Toni Garcia, Guti and Nacho Heras.
Intensity prevailed in what was a great training session for both teams. The rival took the lead in the first half with a goal from Toni García in the 15th minute, after a good counterattack. The Blue and Whites maintained the search for an equaliser, but the scoreboard stayed the same.
In the second half, Pablo Guede opted for the following 11: Yáñez, Juande, Genaro, Andrés Caro, Issa Fomba, Javi Jiménez, Escassi, Luis Muñoz, Febas, Loren and Pablo Chavarría. The Malaguistas considerably increased their percentage of possession and multiplied their incursions into the rival area in the second half. In the final stretch of the duel, Haitam and Moussa joined play to replace Juande and Fomba.
Another friendly is scheduled for this Saturday afternoon for Málaga CF. The match against Cádiz CF (19:00 at Marbella Football Center) is open to the public.
