Intense match against Cádiz CF (0-2)

Málaga CF played Cádiz CF this evening in a friendly at Marbella Football Center in front of 1,000 fans.

The Blue and Whites faced the Yellows, who compete in the First Division, this Saturday in a friendly duel. Around a thousand fans headed to the Marbella Football Center, showing their hunger for football.

Pablo Guede selected the following starting-11: Manolo Reina; Juanfran, Ramalho, Juande, Moussa, Issa Fomba; Escassi, Luis Muñoz, Jozabed; Fran Sol and Rubén Castro.

Equality prevailed in the opening stages. Both sides fought for possession, but it was the visitors who took the lead. Luis Hernández finished off a corner to take his team 0-1 in front in 13’.

After the goal the Blue and Whites – wearing black on this occasion – went all out for an equaliser.

Málaga CF generated numerous opportunities in a flurry of attacking moves. Pablo Guede’s men ruthlessly harassed the rival goal, but without success. However, the Yellows managed to increase their lead. This time it was Choco Lozano who scored in 42’ (0-2).

Málaga CF didn’t let up and maintained high energy throughout. However, unfortunately for the Blue and Whites, the referee signalled half-time.

In the second half, both teams fought for control of the ball. As time went on, the two sides kept at the same pace.

Haitam had a great chance to score in 45’. Following a great technical display to surpass his defender, he hit the crossbar with a powerful shot in minute 60.

In the final minutes, Dani Lorenzo made an attempt, but luck wasn’t on his side.

There were good feelings from this match, despite the result, in another summer test for the team.
