Santi Cazorla: “We remain right in the fight”

Málaga CF player, Santi Cazorla, has given an interview to the Club’s sports channel ‘MCF-TV’, where he analysed the latest Malaguista affairs at the half way point of the 2011-2012 season.

First leg

“In the last few games, we’ve not managed to get the points we would have liked, but we must be aware that we remain right in the fight.  Points that would have got us into UEFA comfortably have escaped us, and they’re points that remain there, but we hope to learn from those details for the second leg.”

Individual assessment
“Everything has a margin for improvement – both in terms of the group and the individual. I began scoring goals, I play where the coach needs me to and I’m very comfortable with that.  Euro 2012?  It’s something great at the end of the season and I hope we can at be at the top of our game for this great event.”

Spain’s national side
“We’re going to play at home (Spain – Venezuela at La Rosaleda), and they’re going to be lucky enough to see the national squad, we hope that people will enjoy the match.  Monreal and Isco?  They’re two players for the national squad; Nacho has already shown that and Isco, with his age, will end up in there and he’ll be very important for Málaga.”

Adaptation
“I’ve got to thank all the people of Málaga for how they’ve treated me; they’ve shown me their love since the very beginning.  It’s a pleasure to see this weather every day and the joy that it gives you to do things.  My family is in love with the lifestyle here and it’s very easy to adapt to it.”
