Samu, as attacking midfielder, was in the line-up devised by Spain Under 17s manager, Santi Denia, who had also called-up Blue and Whites player Víctor Ruiz, although he wasn’t in the starting eleven. Spain proved to be far superior to their rival, winning 5-1 with goals from Sandro Ramírez (2), Álex Serrano, Bustos and Calero.
Both Castillejo and Ruiz are regulars in this national squad whose short term objective is to prepare for the Under 17s Mini-tournament in Georgia, taking place between 26th and 31st March.
