Sandro: “You have to score to bring home something positive from Camp Nou”

The Blue and Whites’ striker analyses his return to Barcelona: “It’ll be a special match as I’m going back to my former home. I’m delighted and can’t wait to get there”.

Return to Camp Nou

“I’m returning to my former home, Camp Nou.  It’ll be a special match as I’ll see my old teammates again, who gave me everything when I moved up to the first team.  I’m delighted and can’t wait to get there”.

Difficult match

“It’s going to be tough.  We’ll need to go with all guns blazing and really go all out for the match.  The statistics are there, showing that Barça always score goals at home.  It’s crucial that we give all we’ve got and try to get ahead in order to bring home a positive result.  It’s going to be very difficult”.

Injured players

“We’ve got a lot of injuries, but we’re an extensive squad.  Everyone’s working hard to have the chance to play as many minutes as possible, and now’s a good time”.

Adapting

“You need to adapt to a different style of play, another team, new teammates…As it stands, I think I’m adapting well.  The most important factor is the team, performing well and continuing along the same line.  We’re having a good time.  Now we’re heading to a difficult ground where we’ll need to give our all and stay focused on gaining the three points.  I’m happy on a personal level.  I hope to carry on in the same way, but must continue working hard”.

Two headers into goal

“I’m not a player who manages headers too well, but you need to adapt to everything.  I was fortunate to score two goals from headers, and I was over the moon.  These are things I need to improve on to better myself”.

Good dynamic

“We’re in a good dynamic currently, and need to ensure it continues.  Both the fans and ourselves are hoping to reach higher up the table, as we’re a team focused on fighting for European positions.  We’re capable of reaching the top and will keep working to get where the Club and fans deserve”.
