Samuel: “I’m gaining more confidence every time I play”

Málaga Club de Fútbol’s Samuel García held a press conference after this morning’s training session at the Ciudad de Málaga athletics stadium.

Firstly, Samuel talks about the team: “You can really notice a change in the intensity and quality of our game play.  It’s important that I take full advantage of my skills, particularly my speed on the pitch.  I’m gaining more confidence every time I play, and always focus on what the coach wants me to do.  I’ve had the chance to play a lot more football recently, and I’ve only got the coach to thank for that.  I’m making the most out of every opportunity, although I’m more comfortable on the wing as I have more contact with the ball.”

With regards to Sunday’s rival, UD Levante, the Málaga-born player is confident of a good result: “We approach every match with a strong determination to win, and play as well as we can.  Levante have a Copa del Rey game tonight so I’ll be watching them to see their style of play and how we can try and overcome them.  We tackle each match according to the rival we’re up against, and are continuing to work as hard as possible in order to come home with three points on Sunday.  We’re all really keen to get out there and play, and are a really strong group at the moment.”

Lastly, Samuel García talks about his new teammate, Argentinean-born midfielder, Pablo Pérez: “You can see he’s a quality player and he’ll help the team a great deal.”
