After successfully passing his medical and completing the formalities at La Rosaleda, the player has officially signed his contract and joins the squad immediately as preseason preparations continue.
José Salinas Morán (Alicante, 2000) is a young left-back who came through the youth ranks at his hometown club, Elche CF. During the 2020/21 season, while playing for the club's reserve team, he made his first team debut in the Copa del Rey.
During the 2021/22 campaign, Salinas joined Unionistas de Salamanca on loan from Elche, where he showcased his attacking qualities by scoring six goals in 37 Primera Federación appearances. The following season (2022/23), again on loan, he impressed at CD Mirandés in LALIGA HYPERMOTION, featuring in 41 of the 42 league matches, all as a starter, with 39 complete games, and scoring two goals.
Over the next two seasons, back at Elche CF, he made 60 more appearances in Spain's second tier and played his part in the club's promotion to LALIGA EA SPORTS in the 2024/25 campaign. Last season (2025/26), he signed for RCD Espanyol, where he made his top-flight debut with the club that now holds his registration rights.
Following the arrivals of Fernando Calero, Juan Cruz, and Carlos Dotor, José Salinas becomes Málaga CF's fourth signing of the summer.
