Rosales, Juanpi and Mikel in Venezuela’s starting line-up

Three of Málaga CF’s Venezuelan players; Roberto Rosales, Juanpi Añor and Mikel Villanueva were in the starting-11 in last night’s friendly against Guatemala.

Venezuela played their last friendly last night, ahead of the Copa America Centenario 2016.  The result was a 1-1 draw against Guatemala, at the Lockhart stadium in Fort Lauderdale.  The goals came in the final stage of play; it was Gerson Tinoco (70’) for the local side, as well as former Malaguista, Salomón Rondón (83’).

The positive news of the match saw the return of Roberto Rosales to the ‘Vinotinto’ starting-11, on the right wing, after his injury.  Robertico was substituted by Alexander González in minute 76.  Juanpi Añor was also in the initial line-up, upfront on the right, replaced by Josef Martínez in minute 71.  The third Blue and Whites’ player in action with Venezuela, in this case playing the entire match, was left-back, Mikel Villanueva.

Ochoa, substitute

Mexico and Chile locked horns last night in a friendly ahead of the Copa America Centenario, held in San Diego (USA).  A goal from ‘Chicharito’ Hernández in minute 86 led the Mexicans to victory by 1-0.  Malaguista goalkeeper, ‘Memo’ Ochoa remained on the bench for the whole match.
