Last Saturday at Riazor, Roberto Rosales played his 100th official match, in LaLiga, with Málaga Club de Fútbol. The winger has played the fourth highest number of matches in the First Division out of the Venezuelan players.
The Malaguista defender, who is currently enjoying his third season at the Club, becomes the 21st player to reach 100 matches with MCF in LaLiga. 100 games, all in the starting line-up, and 96 complete matches to total 8,880 minutes of play, reflects the tremendous consistency of the regular fixture in the starting-11 since his arrival at the Club. In addition, he has scored one goal and given 10 assists.
Rosales is the fifth player in the Top-5 active Málaga CF footballers who has played the most First Division matches. Duda leads the stats with 313 games, followed by Camacho (172), Recio (110) and Kameni (107). Weligton, who was given federative discharge this season due to injury, accumulated 217 matches, and is the second player in this historic classification, ahead of Fernando Sanz (205), Jesús Gámez (193) and Vicente Valcarce (184).
Furthermore, the Blue and Whites’ number ‘18’ has played the fourth highest number of First Division matches out of the Venezuelan players, after Amorebieta (219), Arango (183) and Miku (123). Rosales, a symbol of regularity and hard work, is step by step making his mark in the history of the Martiricos Club.
