The Málaga-born defender joined the Malaguista first team in the 2023/24 season, making 29 appearances across all competitions and playing a part in the memorable promotion to LALIGA HYPERMOTION in Tarragona.

Over the following two seasons, Dani Sánchez made a further 41 official appearances (39 in the league and two in the Copa del Rey). Last season, 2025/26, he helped the team secure another promotion as Málaga returned to the top flight of Spanish football for the first time in eight years.

Dani has been a key figure in the dressing room, always making a valuable contribution both on and off the pitch. His personality, charisma and warmth have left an indelible mark on the club that will always be his home, La Rosaleda.
