Roberto: “We want to win the three points and try to be the best team in the second round”

The Málaga CF forward held a press conference after the victory against Recreativo Granada at Los Cármenes. “We must thank the fans, I don’t think we’ve ever seen so many people. Thank you to Granada for making it possible,” he said.

An unparalleled setting

“We must thank the fans, I don’t think we’ve ever seen so many people. Thank you to Granada for making it possible. It was like we were playing at La Rosaleda. We went out on to the pitch as if we were at home, to give our all.”

Good start by the locals

“They went out there to play their game. Being the reserve team, we knew they’d come out raring to go. They have a new coach who has changed their dynamic a little. We know they’re young lads playing at the first team's stadium. For them, it was also an extra motivation. After Dioni's goal there was a sense of calm.”

Eighth league goal

“I saw that Dani was getting to the baseline and I moved as if I was going to pass back, but I went to the far post and was unmarked. I hope to continue scoring goals.”

Growing each day

“I am growing both on a personal and football level. I hope to double last year's tally. Everything serves to learn for the next game. The next match at La Rosaleda is another plus for us, to continue scoring the three points.”

Winning three points

“We have to think about ourselves. Focusing on winning the three points and trying to be the best team in the second round. There’s still a long way to go and time will tell where we stand. We have to be calm and get the three points. Then in the final month we’ll see where we are.”
