Carlos Puga, depth for the Blue and White right wing

The Granada defender joins the Malaguista squad as a free agent after leaving Club Atlético de Madrid 'B'. He joins the Entity until the end of the season.

Carlos Francisco Puga Medina (26/11/2000 - Albuñol, Granada), is a young and powerful player who operates on the right wing. His great physical ability, high speed and attacking vocation have sometimes allowed him to play as a right winger. With dribbling, good footing and defensive strength, Carlos is an extraordinary asset both in attack and defence.

He trained in the lower categories of AD Buñol, La Mojonera CF, Granada CF, UD Almería and CD Santa Fe, and debuted with the CF Motril first team where he managed to qualify in 19/20 for the playoff for promotion to 2ªB. His outstanding role led him to be part of the U-23 ideal 11 of all groups in the former Third Division.

After his great performance, Córdoba CF signed him for their reserve team in 20/21. He once again became a key member of the team and achieved promotion to the 2ª RFEF with the ‘Califa’ team. However, this wasn’t to be due to the relegation of the Green and White first team to the same category. That season Carlos also debuted with the Córdoba CF first team in an official match on 25/04/2021 against UD Tamaraceite (1-1, starting-11).

In the 21/22 campaign, Puga earned his place in the Córdoba first team and played 29 games, achieving promotion to the 1ª Federación as group champion. In addition, Carlos, has since then held a curious record of matches without losing since his debut with the Córdoba team (12). After two seasons being a key player with CCF, Puga sparked the interest of several clubs and ended up signing in the summer of 2023 for Club Atlético de Madrid. With the Red and White reserve team he played 13 matches in the first round of the Primera Federación, a total of 470 minutes.

Carlos Puga arrives at Málaga CF after leaving Club Atlético de Madrid contractually. He joins the Blue and White discipline until the end of this 23/24 season.

Welcome to your new home, Carlos!
