Roberto appeared before the media after #MálagaSevillaAtlético, during which he made his scoring debut with the first team. The Malaguista forward was visibly delighted: “I’m so happy with my first goal with the first team. It’s an immense joy”, he said.
His goal opened the scoring, and he was asked about the action and how the first two pre-season friendlies have gone in front of goal: “During the last match against Vélez I had an opportunity, but it wasn’t to be. This time I had a chance and the ball went in. It was a good cross from Benítez that made it easier for me to finish. I’ll always remember this goal”, said the homegrown player from The Academy.
To close, Roberto was asked about his physical change in recent months: “Training sessions are hard to ensure you arrive at La Liga well, but it’s good for us. The pace of training is different than that of the ‘juveniles’, they are more intense and much quicker”, he stated.
