Record-breaking Malagueño

The Blue and Whites have scored 98 goals in 33 matches, an average of three goals per game. This is the highest scoring record of the Málaga CF reserve team.

The senior team from the MCF Academy have broken their own goal-scoring record, with 98 goals in 33 games in Third Division Group IX. The Malaguistas maintain an average of three goals per match, and there are still five games remaining.

Also under Manel Ruano, Atlético Malagueño pulverised their own scoring record from last season when they scored 96 goals. Only in regional category, and under the Málaga ‘B’ name, the reserve team scored more goals, 97 in total, out of 34 matches in the 1995/96 season.

The spectacular scoring capacity of the Malaguistas has earned them 80 points and a 14-point advantage over their main follower, UD Almería ‘B’. With 15 points left in play, the Malaguistas could be proclaimed champions with a victory in the next match against CD Huétor Vega.
