Puche's last captain’s armband features a message of light and hope

The club's initiative, in collaboration with José Luis Puche, to honour the Blue and White fans ends with #MálagaIbiza.

The club's initiative, in collaboration with José Luis Puche, to honour the Blue and White fans ends with #MálagaIbiza. Tomorrow the Malaguista captain will wear a new adaptation of the masterpiece by the Malagueño artist in which a hopeful message is conveyed: “The sun always rises.”

Despite relegation, the club maintains its initiative in collaboration with José Luis Puche and reaffirms its tribute to the fans, who have shown all their love for the Blue and White colours throughout the season.

As happened against Lugo, Huesca, Ponferradina, Mirandés and Alavés, the Blue and White captain's armband will be another tribute to our great Malaguista fans. In this case, the sixth and last design of the initiative and the fifth developed by the international artist from Malaga.

Ahead of tomorrow's game at La Rosaleda, Puche opted to continue with the line of featuring the players whose names appear on the doors to the stadium. “In this case, there is Benítez, and I also wanted to pay homage to Juanito,” said Puche. In addition, he completed his design “with those rings” encouraging support for the club: “We need the city to embrace the shield, now more than ever.”

“I wanted to include a very special symbol, which is that of the sun. In the end, the sun always rises. I remember seeing Málaga play in the Third Division and in Second Division 'B'. If they had told me that I was going to see my team play in the Second Division, First Division, UEFA and even the Champions League, I would never have believed it. I’m convinced we’ll all work together to gain momentum and move up,” the artist said to MCFTV.

As on previous occasions, the armband will shortly be raffled exclusively for our Loyal Malaguistas, without the need to register in the Private Area.
