Yesterday, Sunday at Nuevo San Ignacio, El Palo FC and Atlético Malagueño played a friendly, presentation match at El Palo’s ground (VIII Trofeo Francisco Rosa), a rival competing in the same subgroup and category as the Malaguistas.
El Palo defeated Malagueño by 1-0 (Lester, 53'), with the Blue and Whites’ starting-11 featuring Gonzalo (above image, archive photo) in goal; Benítez and Eu on the wings with Fuengirola-born Villegas (only signing for 20/21) and Murillo as central defenders; Quintana, Mini and Alberto García in the wide area; and Rafa Camacho, Julio and Vicario as an attacking trio. Fran Palomino, Issa Fomba, Víctor Olmo, Hoyos and Kevin also played.
This weekend, Atlético Malagueño will play the first league match of the 20/21 season, in subgroup B of Third Division Group IX against Juventud de Torremolinos.
