Review of the preseason

"It’s been a highly demanding preseason, very unusual too because of the circumstances. The first three matches were very tough against First Division teams, and then of course we had the typical preseason injury discomfort, muscle strains and circumstances within the situation we find ourselves in. Hopefully the issues will soon all be resolved so we can compete in Tenerife under the best possible circumstances, which is what we’re going to do”.

Message of unity

"We always focus on the result, but during the preseason we need to look at the sensations and the competitive level. Today lads were playing who haven’t been training for a month, they competed and I’m very pleased and proud of them. We have situations to resolve and the Club is working tirelessly 24 hours a day. We have to go hand in hand this week, for the common good. Above all, this is Málaga Club de Fútbol. Now the competition is about to start, and every match is worth three points. Particularly in the first month of the competition, we need to win as many points as possible so that in October we’ll be clear about the team, the model, the situations…it’s a very long season with many opportunities”.

Tenerife, on the horizon

"The way forward is about dedication, solidarity, enthusiasm, passion and hunger. These are the words, together with humility, that must describe this team. When we put on the Málaga shirt there’s a city behind it, a history, there’s no need to look for excuses. We need to resolve the situations to compete in the best way possible, stick together and I ask everyone to get on board. Now we’ll see the human quality and the competitive level. We’re incredibly strong and next Sunday we’ll be going all out for the three points for our fans”.
