Sergio Pellicer, Atlético Malagueño coach during this current 19/20 season, has taken charge of the Blue and White first team today, completing his first training session this morning at La Rosaleda Stadium. Pellicer will make his interim coaching debut during #MálagaPonferradina (Tuesday 14, 20:00) corresponding to matchday 23 of the national Second Division competition.

A man of the house

Sergio Pellicer García (Castellón, 1973), during his time as a player, belonged to the Club in the 95/96 and 96/97 seasons. As coach, he made history with The MCF Academy in the Juvenil ‘A’ ranks, winning the Spain Copa de Campeones in the 15/16 season, taking part in the UEFA Youth League the following year.

In the 16/17 season, he was second coach to Marcelo Romero at Málaga CF, going on to be technical assistant to the first team the following season. After a spell at Deportivo Fabril (18/19), he returned to the Club to head up the Malaguista reserve team this 19/20 campaign.
