Pellicer: “We're in a good moment that we want to extend”

Málaga CF's coach spoke at the press conference ahead of the match against Elche CF, corresponding to matchday 41 of LALIGA HYPERMOTION. “We're very ambitious. We’re still hungry and eager to fight for what we represent,” he stated.

Calm and ambition

“There are two games left, and our focus is on getting all six points and finishing as high as possible. Three weeks ago, we thought this match could work against us, but now we're in a position that gives us peace of mind.”

A positive streak to continue

“We are very focused and fully concentrated. After the match in Gijón, we felt relief, but we remain hungry and eager to fight for what we represent. Football is about moments, and right now we've won three in a row and we're in a good stretch that we want to keep going.”

Goal achieved, but no room for complacency

“The message has been the same since day one. I congratulated them, as I said here, and then it was back to work. We still have 8 or 10 days of training left. Winning the two remaining games will move us up. We're not under the pressure of promotion, but we still want to keep pushing. We’re very ambitious, a team with commitment and hunger.”

Decisions for and about the team

“I just want to win and win, and I’ll play the players who can help us do that. It doesn’t matter who’s out of contract, I'm not going to give anything away. But many deserve to play. There’s no such thing as fairness in football, but we always put personal matters aside and focus on the team and winning.”
