CD Tenerife, a solid team going through a good run of results
“We need to stay alert, tomorrow we’re up against a rival with such a positive dynamic. Since the change of coach, they’ve had playoff figures. They are a very solid team in defence, I haven’t seen any signs where I could see any imbalances in the defence/attack transitions. They are a very well organised, balanced team. It’s a challenge, particularly to get that third win on the bounce which would give us a lot more breathing space”.
Victory beyond all else
“We have to think about the day to day and select the best starting-11 for tomorrow. We’ve got a week coming up with games between Saturday and Tuesday, so we’ll see the circumstances we’re up against. It’s a fine line in terms of the context of play, but we’ll have all fit players able to participate. We’ll have to handle it in the best possible way, always focused on achieving victory”.
