Paulino: “I hope it’ll be a nice year for everyone”

The new Blue and White player held a press conference on his official presentation as a Malaguista: “I’ve come to help the Club and put myself at the service of the team”.

Confidence is key

“This Club has shown a lot of commitment to me, and from the outset was really keen for me to be here. It’s an easy decision to make when a Club like Málaga CF shows such interest in you. In the end, the decision was straightforward, and we easily reached an agreement. When both parties are eager, there’s no problem. From day one Manolo trusted in me. It was about coming to an agreement and opting for a city like this, which is spectacular”.

All the ingredients to enjoy

“Málaga CF is a historic Club. Those who know about and like football like Málaga CF. It’s such a football city and the ground is spectacular. The people at the Club, even though I’ve only been here a few days, are making everything so easy. I hope – with the fans - it’ll be a nice year for everyone”.

Outwitting opponents and self-confidence

“I’m a player who likes to take risks, be aggressive. I try to be as unbalancing as possible to try and help the team, but it’s not about the individual profile. I’ve come to help the Club and put myself at the service of the team so we can try and perform at our best”.

Under José Alberto’s orders

“The position on the pitch, whether inside or on the right wing, I find myself more comfortable than on the left. But I’m available to do whatever the coach wants, and I’ll play where he thinks I can help the team the most”.

New members of the #MalaguistaFamily

“The coach wants, like him, for the new players to be integrated as well as possible. The sooner we’re all on the same page, know each other and he knows all the players, it’ll be much easier. I had the chance to chat a couple of times with him and I’m very happy”.
