Pau: “I appreciate the confidence of the coach and the dressing room”
The Malaguista defender said in a press conference that the team is training to better the results. “We’re working to improve the situations in the final minutes”.
Minutes and confidence
“I knew I could have a lot of minutes, although perhaps not from the start of the season. In the end you come to play as much as possible, which I’m very grateful for. I appreciate the confidence of the coach and everyone in the dressing room, the work of myself and the team is good, and we must continue along the same line”.
Work
“Something went wrong; the match against Almería was like many others this season when we managed to hold on to the 1-0. In the end they equalised at the last minute, so we must work on these situations, which is what we’re doing now. Against Las Palmas, two goals were disallowed, which was somewhat dubious. Some days they give to you, other days they take away. Although we are a bit disgruntled, we need to forget it now and move on”.
Demanding
“I said last week that the draw against Las Palmas was of no value to us, although I’m sure it was for them. We need to be more demanding, go back to winning the three points at home as that’s what will take us to the top. We must return to this objective as soon as possible”.
La Rosaleda
“It’s clear that I prefer to play in front of the fans. The other day they were with us and I believe we all noticed it. We feel stronger playing at home than we do away”.
Standings
“The first five are a little way ahead, but in the end there’s always a team with a good run of results that reaches the play-offs. We need to fight to return to direct promotion positions and, as the coach says, get to the last matches over the next few months in these positions”.
