Málaga CF Femenino drew 1-1 against EDF Logroño in a match the girls started losing thanks to a goal scored by Jade Boho in 25’. However, the rival’s chance of winning came to an end as Leti went level with a goal in 49’.
The Malaguista squad struggled to dominate the ball and control the game from the outset. Despite the attacks from Logroño, Chelsea and the Blue and White defence were a wall. The Malaguistas had a chance to open the scoring with an attempt from Paula Fernández in 12’ that was intercepted by the rival keeper. In the 25th minute it was Logroño who went ahead with a goal from Jade Boho in a one-on-one with Chelsea. The striker overcame the Málaga defence to take her team to a 0-1 lead. Contreras’ girls didn’t stop trying to find an equaliser, but at half-time the result remained 0-1.
In the second half Ode joined the game in substitution of Mascaró. Málaga stepped out with clearer ideas and after five minutes Leti scored the 1-1. A distant left-footer surpassed the rival defence and provoked a mistake by the Logroño keeper. The subsequent minutes were football for both teams. The most promising opportunity arrived in 75’ when Ode outwitted the defence but didn’t manage to convert as the ball went over the line. The Malaguista siege began in 80’ when Míriam tried her luck with a shot that was making its way straight to the target. A minute later Adriana made an attempt from midfield having seen Andrea move forward, but a goal didn’t materialise.
