A #SiempreFuerte evening

The Museo Picasso hosted a beautiful gala on Wednesday night, organised by the MCF Foundation, with true examples of solidarity, overcoming adversity and respect in the province receiving awards.

The #SiempreFuerte awards celebrated their second edition yesterday with great success. One of the city’s most iconic places, the Museo Picasso hosted the gala evening in which guest artists Diana Navarro and ‘El Kanka’ opened and closed the event. The presentation of the awards was carried out by the multi-talented representative from the MCF Foundation’s Social Department, Sebastián Fernández Reyes, ‘Basti’, and Cristina Zumaquero, Canal Sur journalist.

The event recognised the work and social action of people or public and private entities in the fields of solidarity, co-existence, respect, equality and overcoming adversity. The winners were:

  • Social Entity Awards 2018: Autismo Málaga, Ángeles Malagueños de la Noche and Fundación Andrés Olivares
  • Abdullah Ben Barek Award: Antonio Martín Gaitán, ‘El Niño’
  • #SiempreFuerte Special Award: Pablo Pineda

Of course, the father of Pablo Ráez, Paco was not going to miss the event, who thanked the MCF Foundation for its social work. “Málaga is one of the happiest cities in the world, and you can’t be cheerful without being supportive”, he stated.

During the emotional gala, in collaboration with El Corte Inglés and Fundación El Pimpi, present were Málaga CF advisers, Antonio Benítez, Abdullah Ben Barek and Francisco Martín Aguilar. Joining them were representatives from the main Málaga institutions; the mayor of the capital, Francisco de la Torre; president of the Diputación de Málaga, Francisco Salado; secretary general of sports at the Junta, José María Arrabal and government sub-delegate, María Gámez. There was also significant representation from LaLiga, with president of its Foundation, Olga de la Fuente not wanting to miss the evening.
