Málaga is #SiempreFuerte

The MCF Foundation held the second gala in honour of Pablo Ráez in which true Malagueño examples of solidarity were awarded. An emotional evening to honour the memory of someone whose mark will always remain.

Yes, the last name of our Málaga is Club de Fútbol, but it aspires to more, it aspires to be a Club of Life. That’s the reason for the MCF Foundation which is, without doubt, one of the most active in the world of football, and the most representative locally. This was shown again on Wednesday with the II #SiempreFuerte Awards.

These awards seek to give more visibility to people, organisations and altruistic institutions as well as examples of overcoming adversity. As such, the following associations received awards; Autismo Málaga, Ángeles Malagueños and Andrés Olivares; the footballer player with visual disability, Antonio Martín Gaitán, ‘El Niño’; and Pablo Pineda, the first person with Down’s Syndrome to obtain a European university degree.

The winners received a portrait of Pablo Ráez from Málaga artist, Antonio Montiel. The international artist, who has painted portraits of the kings of Spain, the queen of England, Fidel Castro…etc created a piece of work that reflects Pablo’s strong personality.

Another two great artists were in charge of the music for the evening. Diana Navarro opened the gala whilst El Kanka closed the event that lasted for over an hour and a half.

It should be remembered that these #SiempreFuerte Awards were conceived by the MCF Foundation in memory of someone who has had a major influence on the psyche of society, Pablo Ráez. His example and vitality led to bone marrow donations increasing 1600% in Málaga in 2016.
