Pastor: “We leave with a defeat, but not defeated”

Pastor spoke in the mixed zone at El Alcoraz after #HuescaMálaga. “In Eibar, we’re going out to win,” he commented.

Even match with a tough outcome

“I think it was a very evenly matched game. In the first half, I believe we were superior. We found many situations of superiority, especially with the new system we implemented today. I think the team performed well, but in the second half, they pushed us back. We had to suffer, and the goal came in the last minute, which for me was pretty cruel. But well, we leave with a defeat, but not defeated. I believe there are still matches ahead where we can change the team’s dynamics.”

Surprise in the initial setup

“It was a different approach, we wanted to surprise, and I think we managed to do that. It’s true that we hadn’t played with three at the back before, but I think we did it quite well. It was a pretty evenly matched game that was decided by one play, which in another situation would likely have gone in our favour.”

Optimism ahead of #EibarMálaga

“We’re heading to Eibar’s ground, and we know it’s a tough team, a team that, based on their players, should probably have more points. But well, we’re going out to win because I believe we need it. I also think we deserve it.”
