In the under-19s’ category, Spain lost to Italy (1-2) at the Ciudad de Lepe stadium (Huelva), in the friendly preparation match. ‘Malaguista’ winger, Ontiveros, who was in the starting-11, scored the goal for Spain in minute 41’ of play.
In the under-17s’ category, Spain drew with Italy (1-1) in the international friendly held at the Stadio Comunale di Ferentino. The Blue and Whites’ ‘juvenil’ defender, Álex Robles, was in coach, Santi Denia’s starting line-up, later substituted by his teammate, Bruno Rodríguez.
