The Málaga Club de Fútbol goalkeeper, Guillermo Ochoa and his national team have been proclaimed the champions of the 2015 Gold Cup after Mexico defeated Jamaica in the final by 3-1.
Ochoa performed well in the 2015 Gold Cup, being in the starting-11 in all his country’s matches. In the group stage, he kept a clean sheet in the first two matches, against Cuba (6-0) and Guatemala (0-0), and conceded four goals in the match against Trinidad and Tobago (4-4). In the quarter-finals, Mexico defeated Costa Rica by 1-0, whilst in the semi-finals they won by 1-2 against Panama. In the final, Mexico were victorious over Jamaica by 1-3 to take the 2015 Gold Cup title.
