Training

No time to rest, a new week gets underway

Following yesterday’s win at home against Sabadell, Málaga CF returned to training this Monday at the Annexe. The starting players against the Harlequins remained in the gym.

Around 10:30, the substitutes, non-called-up and homegrown players stepped on to the pitch to carry out a normal training session for an hour and a half.

The starting players against Sabadell underwent physical recovery in the gym. All except Juan Soriano, who focused on goalkeeping training together with Dani Barrio, Strindholm and Gonzalo. However, the latter and Soriano carried out a lighter session after playing yesterday. In addition, Ismael, who sustained a sprain to the left ankle (grade II) against Sabadell, is pending evolution.

Also in first team training today were reserve team members Julio, Cristo, Quintana, Benítez and Mini - the latter three undergoing a less intense session - as well as ‘juvenil’ players Larrubia, Loren and Andrés.

Lombán was absent with the Club’s permission, whilst Orlando Sá and Ramón, with adductor and gluteal discomfort (right leg in both cases) respectively, remained in the gym along with Hicham, to carry out specific training. Long-term injured Chavarría and Calero, received treatment on the physio table.

The team has a day of rest tomorrow. Training will resume on Wednesday at La Rosaleda at 10:30.
