New life, same excitement

Málaga CF Femenino make their league debut on Sunday against Peña el Valle de Montijo (Extremadura), for the first time under the Málaga CF name.

This season the Malaguista Entity has incorporated the former Club Atlético Málaga to its structure, to come under the Málaga CF name.

On Sunday, league competition kicks off for the team in Group IV of the Women’s Second Division, against EF Peña el Valle de Montijo, Badajoz.

“We’re starting again from scratch.  After 25 years as Club Atlético Málaga, now we’re beginning a new chapter, a new life, with great excitement.  I hope we have the same, or higher level of success than in our previous stage,” comments an enthusiastic Isa Guerrero, the Club’s technical secretary.

Former Malaguista player, Raúl Iznata is the new coordinator of Málaga CF’s three women’s teams (first team, reserve, and cadete), and is also the coach of the first team.  He says to MCFTV: “I’m very excited about this new project, and the trust the Club has placed in me.  I hope to fulfil their expectations.”  The coach also talks about this year’s main objective: “Promotion is a target I’ve set out, and I want the players to do the same.”

The Malaguistas are facing the season with great enthusiasm and eagerness to compete.  “This year we’re very excited, we’ve got a new coaching team and a very competent squad,” affirms Noelia, from Málaga CF’s first team.
