Málaga Femenino wins ‘Ajoblanco Málaga 2016’ award

The Blue and Whites’ women’s team received the award this Saturday in Almáchar, to celebrate their long sporting career, spanning 25 years.

The Malaguista entity was represented by Hamyan Al Thani, accompanied by Abdullah Ben Barek.  Also present were the two bastions of the women’s team since its foundation, Manolo Hernández Navarrete and Isa Guerrero, as well as coordinator and first team coach, Raúl Iznata, and a group of players including María Ruiz, a benchmark in women’s sport in Almáchar.

The 48th edition of the Ajoblanco Fiesta is being held in Almáchar, a municipality of national tourism interest in Andalucía, and with a good number of Malaguista season ticket holders.  Mayor, José Gámez Gutiérrez awarded Málaga CF Femenino with the ‘Ajoblanco Málaga 2016’ award, the first Andalucían club founded over 25 years ago, who tomorrow begin their league journey aiming to return to the women’s national footballing elite.
