The Blue and White coach held a press conference after #MálagaHuesca. “We’re in a difficult situation that we need to get out of,” he affirmed.
Natxo González, Málaga CF coach, held a press conference following the match against SD Huesca.
He started off by analysing the match: “It was a good first half that we ended very well. Yet in the second half we conceded two goals quickly and it was a severe blow. From then on there was more heart than head.”
Natxo González, after this result, feels “bad, like everyone else,” because “we were full of enthusiasm, we were optimistic, the rival hadn’t thrown us, we were growing as play went on and arriving well,” but “in the second half our hopes were soon dashed.”
Following this defeat against SD Huesca, he affirmed that “Malaguismo is sad, as we all are” and “we need to understand that we’re in a difficult situation that we need to get out of.”
Despite everything, the Blue and White coach had a good opinion of the first half: “Nobody can say that Málaga’s first 45 minutes weren’t good. Then, we went out there and due to an unfortunate play, the rival took the lead. When you’re in this situation, everything is unfortunate.”
“It’s tough as we want to win and make the fans happy,” he said, going on to recognise that “one hammer blow after the other isn’t easy to manage.”
This week, two Malaguista rivals, Mirandés and Sporting won their matches. “I try not to create more concern than necessary in regard to rival results, to keep as clear a head as possible. However, I’m more concerned than I was last week,” he stated.
“We’ve been focusing on securing permanence for so long. You win two matches and you’re up there, then you lose two and you’re back again. It’s going to be a fight to the end,” he concluded.
