The Blue and White coach held a press conference this Friday at La Rosaleda. “We’re stable in defence and our attack is growing,” he said.
Regarding Ponferradina, he stressed that “they’re a difficult, important rival, who have been in playoff positions all season. They’re an example of consolidation.” Natxo also talked about last weekend’s win in Lezama: “The victory has to free you emotionally, but not too much. We need to keep going. We have to focus on what we have to do to secure a win tomorrow. On an individual level, it’s important for us to loosen up more.”
“The years and experience help you to stay balanced during good and bad times,” the coach added, who is clear that “the more alternatives we have and more structures we can dominate, the better we’ll be. Everything depends on our moment and that of the rival, always with the same idea.”
The fans, once again, will be crucial: “I’ve love to see a capacity crowd, all cheering the team on. They know we need them, but I can’t ask them for anything. We work as a team to do our best to make the fans happy. My wish? That they come to support us. Tomorrow is a very important match to consolidate what we’re doing. I can't ask for more than what they are giving us,” he added.
The team’s improvement appears increasingly evident. “We’re generating much more than we were a month ago. Within our dynamic we need to score to win. We’re stable in defence and our attack is growing. We’re on the right track,” Natxo affirmed.
