Nati Gutiérrez: “The Club’s commitment to Femenino is undeniable”

The coach of Málaga CF’s women’s team advocates a ‘Malagueñizada’ squad. “We are Málaga and we need to be true to our history. You must never lose faith and never forget” she says in an in-depth interview with MCFTV.

Nati Gutiérrez has become the first woman in Málaga CF’s history to coach Málaga CF Femenino. She is a former Blue and White and international player. She has always been characterised by her determination to defend the Blue and White colours and enhance the professionalism of women’s grassroots football at the Club. Clear about what kind of project she wants for the team, she tells us about it here.

New project

“The idea is to ‘Malagueñizar’ the team. That said, we have players who aren’t from here, but who feel totally Malaguista and want to continue here without being from Málaga by birth. There’s a commitment and a responsibility and all those who have talent here will be given an opportunity”.

Committed to the Club

“I have no doubts regarding this Club. We are an historic Club and we need to be true to our history. There are many players who have been here and many coaching teams who have given everything for this Club. I trust and believe that the people here will take this forward”.

Club’s support of Femenino

“I can really notice the support of Manolo Gaspar and José María Muñoz. There has been an injection of confidence and they believe in the project and want us to be more integrated. You have to remember that we are Málaga, that needs to stick in the memory. The Club’s commitment is undeniable, and we cannot lose faith. There’s such great enthusiasm, knowledge, a desire to be professionals, we want to learn every day. The fact that you are given more opportunities doesn’t mean you should stop learning”.

Memory, Commitment and Faith

“You must never lose faith, commitment and never forget. I love to put it on social media, and it must always be kept in mind. When you are given the chance to work with the Club you have to convey this to the fans and future supporters of the Club”.
