Atlético Malagueño debuted this Sunday in Second Division B, suffering a narrow defeat against a solid CD San Fernando. Dely Valdés’ team dominated the match during large parts of the game, but it wasn’t enough to defeat the rival from Cádiz.

The first part kicked off with Blue and White dominance. Creating danger on the wings, Malagueño sought to cause trouble for San Fernando who were waiting in their half for a possible counter-attack. An isolated play in minute 21 led to an early lead for San Fernando; following a prolongation inside the area, the ball fell to Buba who headed the shot into goal with nothing Kellyan could do (0-1). Following the visitors’ goal, both teams put on an even display until half-time.

Atlético Malagueño went out in the second half determined to find an equaliser. Karamoko provoked a penalty that Joan Grasa didn’t manage to convert. However, the Blue and Whites’ reserve team continued in search of a goal. Dely Valdés made some changes in order to refresh the team but the Blue and Whites didn’t claim any reward.
