Muñiz: “Everything is still to play for, nothing is decided”

The Málaga CF coach stresses that the team is very tough to beat and continues to add points. “We tried to turn the result around until the last minute and we’re going to fight for the objective”, he stated.

#MálagaSporting

“There were times when the result wasn’t enough as we were superior. As in the first half, it was a little unfair, we created many dangerous opportunities, approaches, corners… they only had one penalty. Then there were many games within the second half. It was a struggle at the start of the second half as they kept their lines very close together, which was hard, and they made very quick transitions. Then the expulsions destabilised the match. We tried to cause trouble from the outside with Ontiveros and Mula. We had our chances, we went level and could have gone in front. In the end everything went crazy, either team could have won, there were opportunities for both”.

Adverse situations

“The team overcomes adverse situations at difficult times, you can see the team is very tough for rivals to beat and we keep adding points. We’ll see at the end whether the points are sufficient, or we fall short, but that’s this category”.

Everything at stake

“We don’t know how many points will be needed to gain promotion. We need to focus on the next match. We are amongst eight and 10 others who are playing for promotion. Everything is still to play for, nothing is decided. When you see the team fighting until the last minute for a win you can see they never give up. We’ll fight until the last second”.
