Intense session at the Annexe for subs and non-called-up players

Málaga CF returned to training this Saturday at La Rosaleda’s Annexe. The starting players in yesterday’s match against Sporting underwent recovery training in the gym, whilst the rest of the squad focused on an intense session for around two hours.

Following a brief coaching talk on the pitch at the Annexe, around 11am the starting players from the match against Real Sporting headed to the stadium’s gym to carry out physical recovery training. All except Erik Morán, who joined the group for an intense session with the ball taking centre stage.

In total, 14 players, counting goalkeepers Kieszek, Cengo (without ‘ficha’) and juvenil keeper Gonzalo, plus another 11. Apart from the aforementioned Erik, who underwent a slightly lighter session than his teammates, training at full pace were Cifu, Pau, Lombán, Torres, Lacen, Keidi, Boulahroud, Mula, Renato and Seleznov.

In addition, Brezancic trained under the instruction of physical trainer Manu Gestoso, undergoing continuous running and specific training (preventive work). Werner (suffering with a blow to the oblique muscle) was absent from training, whilst Koné, Juankar and Harper continued with their respective recovery from injury.

The MRI undertaken on Dani Pacheco revealed a positive result in relation to the discomfort he has to the back of his left leg.

Málaga Club de Fútbol’s first team has two days off, Sunday and Monday, and will return to training on Tuesday 2nd April.
