Munir: “We hope 2020 will be much better”

The Blue and White goalkeeper speaks out in the mixed zone at La Rosaleda following #MálagaLugo. “We need to wake up and that’s what we’re going to do”, he stated.

Fateful end

“We are where we are because we deserve it. We need to be aware of this. It’s a result that hurts us, it angers us a great deal, and we’re going on the Christmas break with that in mind. The last-minute goal opened our eyes a little, and reflects the situation we find ourselves in. We need to wake up and that’s what we’re going to do”.

2019

“It’s a complicated situation which we need to be mindful of in order to get out of it. 2019 is over and we hope 2020 will be much better, as do all Malaguistas. Above all, we need to learn from 2019 so as not to make the same mistakes in 2020”.

Individual

“On a personal level, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. I try to overcome every situation, learn from it and enjoy it. Although the joys have been few and far between, I try to enjoy them to the fullest, despite not being in the position we’d all like to be in”.

Fans

“It’s not about forgetting 2019. I’m very grateful to 2019 as it showed me that there are a lot of people who have supported us and who have always been there. I thank our fans and wish them all a Merry Christmas. I promise them that next year we’ll come back stronger than ever and reward them for all their support they give us on the pitch”.
