Last Saturday La Rosaleda enjoyed the MCF Foundation’s fifth Solidarity Match, under the slogan ‘Tú puedes’ (‘You Can’). The match corresponded to LaLiga SmartBank matchday 21 between Málaga CF and CD Lugo. More than 3,500 tickets were distributed to 64 social groups in the province to watch the match live.
Among the associations involved were seven soup kitchens, food banks and canteens, that exchanged the match tickets for close to 3,000 kilos of non-perishable food.
Sanamar, one of the sponsors of this edition of the Solidarity Match, made a donation of foodstuffs for 10 soup kitchens in and around Málaga.
In addition, the Fundación Andrés Olivares, through its volunteers, distributed hearts to form a chain of hearts.
Solidarity marked this football match, the last of 2019, at La Rosaleda.
