Munir and the Club end their contractual relationship

The goalkeeper, who joined the Club in the 18/19 season, has left Málaga CF for good.

Munir Mohand Mohamedi El Kajoui, born on 10/05/1989 in Melilla, arrived at the Blue and Whites on 19th July 2018 during the summer transfer window, ahead of the 18/19 season, from CD Numancia, having recently ended his participation in the World Cup in Russia.

He defended the Malaguista goal for the first time in an official match on 18th August 2018, on matchday 1 of LaLiga Smartank 18/19, against CD Lugo at the Estadio Anxo Carro, being key to the team reaching the promotion playoffs that year. During his time as a Málaga CF player, the Moroccan international played a total of 76 league games, eight with his national team.

The goalkeeper enjoyed a great 19/20 campaign, winning the historic ‘Zamora’ award in the category, conceding just 29 goals in 38 matches, an average of 0,76 per game, and keeping a clean sheet on 18 occasions.

Finally, the professional and the Club bring an amicable end, in mutual agreement, to their association.

Málaga CF would like to wish Munir all the luck in the world for his future projects.
