José María Muñoz and Manolo Gaspar send the women’s division of the Club a message of support, peace of mind and confidence.
Málaga CF Femenino gathered in full at La Rosaleda’s Annexe this Wednesday afternoon. Whilst called-up for a team training session at the stadium, judicial administrator José María Muñoz, and sports director Manolo Gaspar spent time with the players, coaching teams and medics as well as the MCFF directors.
To show his support for the women's team, which is experiencing a bad run of results in Group Sur A of the Reto Iberdrola, José María Muñoz was the first to speak: “Always remember that you are part of a historic Club. We’re not worried about the situation, we’re convinced that we are going to go up”. In reference to past achievements, he looked to the current MCFF ambassador, Manuel Hernández Navarrete, who was also present in this informal talk.
Subsequently, Manolo Gaspar conveyed a message of calm to the group: “You have to stay calm, we’re currently building a foundation and you’re eager to keep growing”.
Málaga CF Femenino first team captain, Ruth Acedo thanked the Club for its faith in the team: “We have to keep working hard, be self-critical and the results will come. We wear a shield that represents a great deal and we have to give our all in every game”. Coach Nati Gutiérrez appreciates the team's dedication: “The dynamic is tough, but the girls give everything they’ve got”.
The coordinator of the women's section, Raúl Iznata, highlighted the Club's familiarity: “What was said at the start of the season, that we want to be a closer Club, which you feel part of, is achieved with this type of act”.
Following this group therapy session, which gave MCFF a real morale boost, the team was in training on the pitch at the Annexe to continue preparations for the upcoming league game, this Sunday at 12:00, against Córdoba in Cártama.
