Moayat Shatat presents new organisational structure of Málaga Club de Fútbol
Málaga Club de Fútbol’s Executive Vice President, Moayat Shatat, held a press conference this morning in La Rosaleda’s press room, and announced the new organisational structure of the Martiricos Club.
Vicente Casado is the new General Manager, Mario Husillos the First Team Sports Manager; the Advisory Board consists of Antonio Fernández Benítez and Abdullah Ben Barek; Presidential Cabinet, led by Victor Varela, and External Advisory Committee, including Antonio Tapia and Jesús Nuño. Francisco Martín Aguilar is the Protocol and Institutional Relations Adviser. The main areas of activity within the Club have been divided into four; Deputy Business Development Management, Deputy Communications and Organisational Management, Deputy Administration, Legal and Financial Management and Football.
Málaga Club de Fútbol’s Executive Vice President, Moayat Shatat, began his speech by confirming that owner, Sheikh Al-Thani, and Vice President, Abdullah Ghubn, still remain at the forefront of the Club: “We’ve invested a lot into this project and have no intention of leaving. We love this Club, and both Sheikh Al-Thani and Abdullah Ghubn are in full support, and very excited about this season. The Club is not for sale.”

“The important thing is to find a balance with regards to investment, and do what’s best for the Club. We’ve never said that we’d stop investing. We will continue to invest, but in the best way for the Club. We’re looking into a new strategy, and have now created a new organisational structure so we can have more control over the Club.”
