Monreal performs well in Spain’s match against Saudi Arabia

Málaga CF’s Nacho Monreal gave a great performance in the friendly match between Spain and Saudi Arabia last night, in which Vicente del Bosque’s team won by an impressive 5-0.

The Blue and Whites’ left winger was part of the starting 11 and played for the entire match, held in Nuevo Pasarón in Pontevedra.  Monreal played excellent football, as well as provoking a penalty leading to a goal by Villa in the 62nd minute, the first since his injury.
 
Spain face Georgia in their next match on Tuesday, the first qualifying match for the Brazil World Cup in 2014.  ‘La Roja’ is in Group I, along with France, Belarus and Finland.
