The new Málaga CF ‘Euroabonos’ went on sale at 10 a.m. this morning. They include entrance to every Málaga CF UEFA Champions League match held at La Rosaleda, as well as later knock-out rounds, in both the Champions and Europa League.
Excited fans gathered at La Rosaleda ticket offices this morning, wanting to be the first to purchase the new ‘Euroabono’. Despite the sales being staggered by date and section of the stadium, the excitement about Málaga reaching the group stage of the Champions League was present at La Rosaleda. Members in the ‘Gol y Fondo’ section can purchase the ‘Euroabono’ from today until Saturday, those in the ‘Preferencia’ section on Sunday and Monday, whilst fans in the ‘Tribuna’ section will have to wait until Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th September. League members are able to purchase the ‘Euroabono’ at a special price; and tickets for the first match against Zenit – taking place on 18th September – go on sale from the 16th, providing there is still availability.
Fans were excited at being amongst the first to buy these historic ‘Euroabono’s’:
“We got here at 5 a.m., as although I knew it would be well organised, we didn’t know how many people would be waiting. There were so many fans waiting for the Panathinaikos match, so we preferred to get here early to avoid queuing.”
“I’m the first Málaga member in the Champions League. It means such a lot to me.”
“We got here really early, as we had the problem of having to move our seat location. It was worth it though to support our team. It’s extremely well organised, and we’re really happy with the price. There was a lot of speculation, but the price is accessible for the unemployed and students as well.”
