Mikel was on the left-wing in the ‘Vinotinto’ defence, playing for the entire game which ended in a 1-1 draw. Celta de Vigo striker, Iago Aspas put Galicia in front in minute 37; and in minute 93, just before the final whistle, Josef Martínez equalised for the Venezuelans.
This is the first of four friendlies for Venezuela before the Copa America Centenario 2016, and the fourth international match with the first team for the Atlético Malagueño defender. As from next season he’ll be a member of Málaga CF’s first team.
