“With every match that passes, if we don’t claim the three points, it’s another one of our lives gone. We can’t leave here satisfied with this result because our situation is complicated. However, we’ve been suffering far too much throughout the season to not try to get the positives out of everything we do. In many phases of play the team performed well, we had the opportunity to win the match. I want to encourage the team and, once again, recognise the fans’ understanding with us. It’s going to be difficult from here until the end, but dedication and sacrifice are non-negotiable on this team. That’s how it’s going to be until the end of the season”.
Compete
“In the situation we’re in, one point isn’t enough. That said, this team has suffered a lot this season and we need to find strength in some way to affront the remainder of the competition. We need to send out positive messages. It wasn’t easy approaching this game. Celta have some good players and had the chance to win this match. Now we’ve got a League break coming up, so the weeks are longer. Things always go around in your head because the situation is so complicated. We will compete and give our all until the end. Of course, our fans will judge us by the final result, but I think the dedication and sacrifice shown in every game is non-negotiable”.
Work
“It’s the only positive aspect. We score a point and the team feels solid. That’s important, at least. In the end, the objective is to remain in the First Division, and now everything becomes more complicated. It’s important to encourage the dressing room and the team. I believe we have players that could be important and a determining factor from here until the end of the season. We must work hard so as not to be reproached for anything individually”.
Stand up
“We need to stand up to every rival from now on. The objective is extremely tough, but we’ll be the last ones to ever give up. The last thing the fans want, no matter how angry they are, is for us to give every game up as lost until the end. In that respect, dedication is non-negotiable”.
