It was a good weekend for the most part for teams within Málaga CF’s youth academy. Both Atlético Malagueño and Atlético Málaga secured big wins.
Atlético Malagueñodefeated Vélez by (0-3) at the Vivar Téllez in the 29th LaLiga game of the season, consolidating their place at the top of the table. It was a hard fought victory for Ruano’s boys, as they claimed the first Malaguista goal just before half-time (44’). The scorer, from a free kick, was Javi Ontiveros, who has accumulated 11 goals out of 20 games. In the second half, Torras found the net after an impressive counter-attack (69’) and Mula, following a good action from the aforementioned Torras (77’) sentenced the match in which ‘juvenil’ Blue and Whites’ keeper, Samu Casado made a great debut.
Atlético Málaga achieved a massive (0-7) win against a weak Villanovense. Manolo Hernández Navarrete’s girls were far superior and extremely effective on the attack. As a result, the goals started to arrive, with Yamila scoring four (24’, 26’, 46’ and 70’). Pamela also scored (57’ and 85’), along with Janira (44’). For another week, the Blue and Whites remain in fourth place in the table.
