Madrid-born left-winger, Juankar Pérez held a press conference this Monday afternoon at the Ciudad de Málaga: “I’m thrilled that there’s competition.”
Recovered from injury
“When I sustained the injury I was in a good moment and had confidence, having played numerous games. These things happen to players. It was a quicker recovery than I expected, I worked hard and am keen to return to the same level. I’m now starting from scratch again, the players who have been in action have done very well and this is the level of competition we all want.”
Betis, a well-known rival
“It’s a great match, but also a difficult one, as Betis really pressure their rivals at home in front of their fans. It’s going to be tough, we’ll have no time to relax and must give 100 per cent throughout in order to claim the three points. I have good memories from there and it’s going to be a special match. However, I want us to win the three points.”
Healthy competition
“It’s a good thing that we’re not lacking in players for a certain position. This ensures that no player gets complacent and they know that if their performance level drops, there is another player that could take their place and do a good job. I’m thrilled that there’s competition and I’m making the most of the opportunities the coach gives me to prove I want to behere.”
Firstly, permanency
“The main thing is to take each step at a time, but the principal goal is always salvation. This is the primary objective of every team, and from then on, everything else we aspire to is wonderful.”
