Malagueño's epic win in Jaén, following the favourable resolution of the TAD that returned the three points to Funes' men against Huétor Tájar, puts the Blue and Whites in the playoffs for promotion to Segunda RFEF.

Málaga CF’s reserve team gave their all yesterday in La Victoria against Real Jaén on matchday 34, the final match of Tercera RFEF Group IX. It was a heart-stopping match in which the locals were playing to remain in the division and Malagueño to boost their options for promotion.
In minute 9, Loren Zúñiga scored the 0-1. Before half-time, the rival came from behind the take the lead in 27’ and 35’. Things became trickier when Jaén went 3-1 up in 58’, yet in the final stretch Loren appeared to score two consecutive goals (82’ and 84’) to make it all square at 3-3. Víctor Olmo in 92’ netted the definitive 3-4.
Malagueño end the regular league season in 5th place in the standings, qualifying for promotion playoffs along with CD Huétor Tájar (2nd), Marbella FC (3rd) and UD Almería 'B' (4th). CD Juventud de Torremolinos CF, Group champions, automatically move up to Segunda RFEF.
